Senior English–Polish Translator& Localisation Specialist.

The opportunity

Karolina's Hub combines translation, localisation, transcreation, cultural consultancy and digital marketing, including SEO, Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) and Answer Engine Optimisation (AEO).

This role combines advanced translation and localisation expertise with a strong understanding of marketing and digital visibility. You will ensure that content for Polish-speaking audiences is linguistically accurate, culturally relevant and commercially effective.

Salary: £42,000 per annum
Location: United Kingdom · fully remote
Hours: Monday-Friday · 9 am-5 pm UK time
Contract: Permanent · 37.5 paid hours

The role

Key responsibilities.

Translate, localise and transcreate content from English into Polish and Polish into English.
Adapt websites, marketing campaigns, digital products and other materials for their target audiences.
Provide cultural consultancy to help clients communicate effectively across the UK and Polish markets.
Edit, proofread and quality-check translated and localised content to maintain consistently high standards.
Apply SEO principles to translation and localisation projects, including keyword research and search intent analysis.
Support GEO and AEO projects by structuring and adapting content for evolving search environments.
Work with CAT tools and localisation platforms to ensure consistency, efficiency and quality.
Collaborate with other specialists and contribute to language and localisation strategies.
Take ownership of assigned projects, maintaining clear communication and meeting agreed deadlines.

What you bring

Essential requirements.

Translation and localisation

At least 10 years of documented, full-time professional experience in English-to-Polish and Polish-to-English translation.
Exceptional professional proficiency in Polish, equivalent to native-level command, and near-native proficiency in English.
Demonstrable experience in localisation, cultural consultancy and transcreation.
Excellent editing, proofreading and quality-assurance skills in both languages.
Professional experience in at least three relevant specialist areas listed below.

Marketing and technical expertise

At least five years of professional marketing experience, including part-time experience where applicable. Translation and marketing experience may overlap.
A strong understanding of digital marketing and content strategy.
Proficiency with SDL Trados Studio, Crowdin and memoQ.
Proficiency with SEO tools, including Ahrefs and Screaming Frog SEO Spider.
The ability to combine linguistic expertise with commercial and cultural considerations.

Location and eligibility

Based in the UK and ready to work remotely.

This is a full-time employment position comprising 37.5 paid hours per week. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 9 am-5 pm UK time, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break each day.

Applicants must be based in the United Kingdom and already have the legal right to live and work in the UK. Karolina's Hub is currently unable to offer visa sponsorship.

Candidates must be able to work independently while collaborating effectively with a remote team.

Additional strengths

Desirable qualifications and experience.

A degree in translation, linguistics or a closely related discipline.
Professional membership of ITI, CIOL, CIM or an equivalent recognised organisation. MITI, FITI, MCIL, FCIL, Chartered Linguist and ACIM or higher grades are particularly welcome.
Previous experience in website and game localisation.
Advanced knowledge of SEO, GEO and AEO.
Experience working directly with UK businesses and a practical understanding of UK culture and consumer behaviour.
Related experience in copywriting, content strategy, UX writing or international marketing.
